Discover Plastic Energy’s operations and global partnerships.

Almeria, Spain

Our recycling plant in Almeria has been operational since 2016. We use our patented TAC™ process to convert end-of-life plastics into TACOIL™, which is then used in the production of new plastic packaging.

Seville, Spain

Our advanced recycling plant in Seville has been operational since 2017. TACOIL™ from our plants in both Seville and Almeria has been commercialised on the European market, and used in products including Magnum ice cream tubs.

SABIC Plastic Energy Advanced Recycling B.V.

In 2021, we announced a joint venture with SABIC to build an advanced recycling plant in Geleen, the Netherlands. The recycling plant will have a capacity of 20,000 tonnes of plastic waste per annum, and the project is now approaching completion.

TotalEnergies Plastic Energy Advanced Recycling

We announced a joint venture with TotalEnergies to build an advanced recycling plant at their site in Grandpuits, France. This follows an existing agreement with TotalEnergies to be a TACOIL™ offtaker from Plastic Energy’s plant in Spain. Once operational, the plant will have the capacity to recycle 15,000 tonnes of plastic waste per year.
